I have a new love! CHARMS...CHARMS...CHARMS

Meet Jewel Kade, my new job. Not sure you can really call something so easy and fun a job. Never the less, I've been selling this jewelry part time.  Jewel Kade is a newer company out of Alipine, Utah. The designer, Janet Kinkade, is an incredibley creative person with a serious sense of style and a hip vibe! I never thought I'd be able to do home parties and "sell" something. However, the minute I got this stuff in my hands I knew I had to be a part of it. The company has so much energy and is growing like wildfire. The national launch for the company is July 1st - can't wait!

 

I've been able to share so much of this darling stuff with sweet family and friends that have supported my business launch. It's an amazing opportunity, a blessing that I am cherishing! It's wonderful to have something of my own - something to contribute to the family economy - something to socialize with great ladies - something to be super excited about and something that provides me with really hip jewelry!

Spending and Saving

Hadley and I had another great field trip to the "big" mall.  Upon her request (and me needing a few things) we headed on yet another fun-filled trip to the place she calls heaven.  We had lunch together, played on the big dinosaurs, spent 45 minutes in the Disney Store, and did summer clothes shopping for me.  Disney Store had a crazy good sale at 40% off the already reduced prices.  I stocked up on presents for when the girls go to birthday parties - Giselle barbies, 3-foot stuffed Princess dolls, and Giselle glamour cases for about $4-6 bucks each.  I LOVE finding those sales!

For me - I LOVE the Gap.  But it really is hit or miss if I can find cute and flattering things.  These skirts are so cute and comfortable - perfect for summer with the kids - I bought a few in great, bright colors.  I also got a couple cute cardigans and favorite white T's to wear with them.  Nothing says summer like these sassy RED shoes from Old Navy (I already wore them with my red trench coat on date night last night - so cute!).

In other, more important, news - our family just started saving for a family trip to Disneyland in October.  My WHOLE family is going, my 2 sisters, Tangie and Molly, my sweet mom and all the grandkids.  It will be our first trip all together since my dad passed away last year.  October is his birthday month and we couldn't think of any better way to remember him than to be in the happiest place on earth all together.  We went there almost every year growing up and lots of times as adults.  We haven't taken our kids for 3 years - so they are beyond excited.  With the economy the way it is we've decided to save as a family and make some sacrifices.  The other night we had suggested to go out for ice cream - Madison said, "I have an idea!  Let's eat treats at home and put the money we would have spent in the Disneyland jar!"  Dedication from a 9 year old!  Here is the creative can the girls made for this great cause.

The girls "Unca" Dave made this cute website with a count down to Disneyland and other neat trivia and surveys.  He's a pretty cool uncle.
