Madison gave her little sisters a coupon for a fancy tea party for Christmas. The girls just got around to redeeming it and Madison went all out. She did every bit of it herself and I was pretty impressed. Everything from flower petal confetti to cloth napkins and Splenda in the sugar bowl. ADORABLE. Little sisters were simply delighted.

Speaking of my oldest, Madison started MIDDLE SCHOOL! I can hardly believe my little red-headed December baby is in the 6th grade. She is so mature and responsible and wonderful. She sets her alarm for 6:00 a.m. and gets up to get ready, practice piano, read scriptures with mom and dad and get out the door to catch the bus at 7:10 a.m. She finished her first trimester of school on the 4.0 honor roll. In addition to the piano she's playing soccer, picked up the violin again for her Orchestra class and still spends her extra time reading and learning new creative skills. She just finished a darling cowboy quilt to give to Sawyer for Christmas. I suppose we all have to brag about our kids...but Madison seems to be a pretty wonderful person....going into Young Womens in 5 weeks!!
Bella and Hadley headed off to 3rd grade and Kindergarten a little while after Madison left. Bella is completely ready for 3rd grade and loving it. She's my social butterfly and keeps the recess and lunch hour hopping. Hadley is thrilled to be in Kindergarten and I was so happy to send her off knowing she was ready and happy and excited to make new friends. She as the same teacher Bella did so I know she's in great hands. My kids are growing too fast...it's so cliche but so true.
